A recent report from California group Worksafe claims Tesla’s total recordable injury and illness rates are significantly higher than the average for the automobile industry and Tesla fires back.
In April, workers at Tesla’s facility in Fremont, Calif. requested copies of the company’s OSHA Form 300, the log of work-related injuries and illnesses. An analysis of that data conducted by Worksafe, a California-based organization, appears to have shocked even Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who reportedly vowed to speak to injured workers and to perform their jobs tasks to experience first-hand their work process and safety challenges.
