I spent yesterday evening trying to pin down the exact date when the following video was recorded for Italian television. The best I could do is that it was recorded sometime between February and April 1961 during a JATP tour, since pianist Lou Levy was with Ella Fitzgerald at the time and bassist Ray Brown and drummer Ed Thigpen were in Europe with pianist Oscar Peterson. The first song is Woody 'n' You. The second song, which is unidentified, is Al Cohn's Ah-Moore (Amour). Here's Getz at his astonishing peak...
